My image is not showing.
Nearly always a relative URL. <code>og:image</code> must be absolute, including the protocol — a relative path yields no card and looks identical to having no tag at all. After fixing it, force a re-scrape.
Why does my old preview still appear?
Platform caching. They store the scraped card and do not re-fetch on every share. Each major platform has a debugger tool that forces a refresh; that is the only reliable way.
What size should the image be?
1200 × 630. That is the ratio platforms crop toward, so a square or portrait image loses its top and bottom — frequently the part with your text on it.
Do I need separate Twitter tags?
Twitter falls back to Open Graph for most fields, but <code>twitter:card</code> set to <code>summary_large_image</code> is needed for the large card. Without it you get the small thumbnail version.
