The short version
Vootkit uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. None of them touch your files. Files you open in a tool are processed on your own device and are never uploaded, so they are never stored in a cookie, never sent to an analytics service and never seen by an advertiser.
You can refuse analytics and advertising storage from the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work and are always on. They store nothing about you as a person.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
vk-consent | Remembers your answer to the cookie banner so you are not asked again. |
vk-theme | Remembers light or dark mode. |
vk-recent, vk-tools | The "recently viewed" list on tool pages. Stays on your device. |
vk-uses:<date> | Counts how many tools you have run today, for the free daily allowance. |
| Supabase session | Only if you create an account — keeps you signed in. |
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools are used. It records the page, your approximate country, your device type and how you arrived. It never receives your file names, file contents, or anything you type into a tool.
Analytics storage is refused by default in the EEA and UK until you accept.
Advertising
Some pages carry ads from Google AdSense, which may set cookies to measure and personalise them. Advertising storage is refused by default in the EEA and UK until you accept; if you refuse, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual rather than personalised.
Ads are never shown on account or sign-in pages, and never inside a tool while it is working.
Refusing or removing them
- Choose Reject on the banner. Analytics and advertising storage stay off.
- Clear this site's data in your browser to reset everything, including your banner choice.
- Browser-level cookie blocking works normally here — the tools do not depend on cookies to function.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, this page changes and the banner asks again.
