Security at Vootkit
Vootkit uses layered safeguards and minimises the information it handles. Compatible file tools run in your browser, reducing the need to transfer a working file to Vootkit. A tool's privacy label explains whether processing is local or needs an online service.
Account protection
- Authentication sessions are handled through our account provider and transmitted over HTTPS.
- Passwords are not displayed or stored in readable form by Vootkit.
- Session and account controls let signed-in users update credentials, end access and request account deletion.
Application safeguards
We use security headers, input validation, dependency and automated regression checks, least-privilege access patterns and abuse controls appropriate to the feature. Sensitive account pages do not contain advertising. We review tool flows separately because files, calculators and network-connected tools have different risk profiles.
Your part
Use a unique password, keep your browser and operating system updated, confirm downloads before opening them, and avoid processing confidential information on a shared or untrusted device. Keep an original copy before changing an important file.
Report a vulnerability
If you believe you found a security issue, use the contact page and choose Privacy / Security. Include the affected URL, a clear reproduction and the potential impact. Do not access other users' data, disrupt the service or publicly disclose an unresolved issue. We will acknowledge useful reports and investigate them in good faith.
Limits
No online service can guarantee absolute security. This page describes our current approach and may change as the platform grows.
