Keep the SVG. It is the master and the PNG is a snapshot: you can always export another size from the vector, but you can never recover the vector from the pixels. Anyone who has tried to enlarge a logo from a 200px PNG for a banner knows how that goes.

My export came out tiny or blurry.
The PNG uses the SVG’s declared width and height. If those are small — many icon SVGs say 24×24 — the export is small too. Edit the SVG’s width, height or viewBox to the size you need, then convert.
Nothing happened, or the image is blank.
SVGs that reference external fonts or images do not always render in a browser sandbox, and some SVGs have no intrinsic size at all. Opening it in a browser first tells you quickly whether the file itself is the problem.
Can I convert a PNG back to SVG?
Not meaningfully. Vector is a set of shapes and a PNG is a grid of pixels — going back requires tracing, which guesses at shapes and rarely matches the original.
Does transparency survive?
