Learn more about privacy

Turning PDF pages into images is what you need when something will not accept a PDF — a social post, a slide, a form that only takes photographs, or a document you want to show without letting it be edited.

What PDF to JPG does

Renders each page of a PDF as a JPG image at a resolution you choose.

Every page becomes its own image. Because it is a render rather than an extraction, what you get is exactly what the page looks like, including fonts, vector drawings and layout.

Resolution settings

Standard1.5× — screen viewing, smallest files
High2× (default) — good for most uses
Very high3× — print, or when text must stay crisp when zoomed
OutputOne JPG per page
TextBecomes part of the image and is no longer selectable
RenderingPage-accurate, including fonts and vector graphics

Detailed steps

  1. Drop the PDF in.
  2. Pick a resolution. High suits most uses; choose Very high only if the result will be printed or zoomed.
  3. Convert, then download the pages you need.

Worth knowing

Higher is not automatically better. At 3× a long document produces very large images and takes noticeably longer to render, and on screen it looks identical to 2×. Match the setting to where the image is going.

Frequently Asked Questions

I need the text, not a picture of it.

Use PDF to Text, which pulls the text layer out directly. This tool deliberately produces images.

Why is my output blurry?

The resolution is too low for how you are viewing it, or the source page was a low-resolution scan to begin with — rendering cannot add detail that was never there. Try Very high, and check the original.

Can I get PNG instead?

Yes — PDF to PNG does the same job with lossless output. PNG suits pages of text and line art; JPG suits pages that are mostly photographic.

Does it do every page?

Yes, every page becomes an image. If you only want some of them, run Extract PDF Pages first.

Is PDF to JPG free?

Yes. The Vootkit free plan includes 5 tool runs a day. Upgrade to Vootkit Pro for unlimited daily use, an ad-free workspace and saved workflows.

Are my files uploaded?

No. PDF to JPG runs entirely in your browser — your file is processed on your own device and never sent to a server. There is nothing for us to store or delete.

Do I need to install anything?

No. PDF to JPG works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone. Open the page and start.

How often can I use it? Is there a daily limit?

On the free plan you get 5 tool runs a day. When you reach the limit you'll see a prompt to upgrade, and it resets the next day. Vootkit Pro removes the cap entirely for unlimited daily use.

This tool processes everything locally in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.
