Your work is processed locally in your browser where possible and is never added to a Vootkit upload library.
Learn more about privacyScreenshots are almost always PNGs, and a set of screenshots is almost always meant to be read in order. A PDF is how you send them as one document rather than a folder someone has to open file by file.
What PNG to PDF does
Combines up to 30 PNGs into a single PDF, one image per page, in the order you add them.
Page size is your call. "Fit to each image" gives every page the exact shape of its screenshot, which keeps things tight and avoids white bands. A4 or US Letter centres each image on a standard page, which is what you want if anyone will print it.
Limits and page options
| Images per PDF | Up to 30 |
|---|---|
| Total size | Up to 40 MB |
| Page size | Fit to each image (default), A4 portrait, or US Letter |
| Margin | 0–100 pt, default 0 |
| Page order | The order you add the images |
| Transparency | Flattened — PDF pages are opaque |
| Output | One PDF, one image per page |
Detailed steps
- Add your PNGs in the order you want the pages.
- Choose Page size — “Fit to each image” for screenshots, A4 or Letter if it will be printed.
- Add a Margin of 20–40 pt if printing, so nothing sits against the edge.
- Convert and download.
Worth knowing
PNG screenshots at retina resolution are large, and thirty of them will hit the 40 MB cap quickly. Running them through Bulk Image Resizer first — 1600 px wide is plenty for a document — keeps the PDF emailable and costs nothing visible on the page.
Frequently Asked Questions
My transparent areas turned white.
Expected. PDF pages are opaque, so transparency has to be flattened onto the page. If the transparency matters, keep the PNGs alongside the PDF.
The pages are in the wrong order.
Pages follow the order you added the files, not their filenames. Add them one at a time in sequence — the browser does not guarantee it hands over a multi-select in filename order.
The PDF is too big to email.
It contains full-resolution images and the PDF wrapper adds very little. Resize the PNGs first, or run the finished file through Compress PDF.
Should I use this or JPG to PDF?
Whichever matches your source files — they behave identically. PNGs are typical for screenshots, JPGs for photographs.
Is PNG to PDF free?
Yes. The Vootkit free plan includes 5 tool runs a day. Upgrade to Vootkit Pro for unlimited daily use, an ad-free workspace and saved workflows.
Are my files uploaded?
No. PNG to PDF runs entirely in your browser — your file is processed on your own device and never sent to a server. There is nothing for us to store or delete.
Do I need to install anything?
No. PNG to PDF works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone. Open the page and start.
How often can I use it? Is there a daily limit?
On the free plan you get 5 tool runs a day. When you reach the limit you'll see a prompt to upgrade, and it resets the next day. Vootkit Pro removes the cap entirely for unlimited daily use.
