Copy the data out somewhere else every so often. It is stored in this browser only — clearing site data, using a different device, or a browser deciding to reclaim storage will lose it, with no way back. Treat this as a fast working view, not as the only record of your stock.

Where is my inventory stored?

In your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, which means nobody else can see it and also that nobody else can recover it. It will not appear on your phone or another computer.

Will I lose it?

You can — clearing browsing data removes it, as can a browser reclaiming storage space under pressure. Keep a copy elsewhere. That warning is not boilerplate; it is the actual failure mode of local storage.

Can two people use it together?

No. It is single-device by design. Shared stock across people needs a hosted system with accounts, and that is a different kind of product.

Why show cost value and retail value separately?

They answer different questions. Cost value is the money currently sitting on your shelves — what you would lose if it were stolen. Retail value is what it could become. Confusing the two is how sellers overestimate how well they are doing.

Is Inventory Tracker free?
