A practical example

Record a short scene containing rapid movement, small text and speech. Compare the suggested setup with one lower-resolution setup while keeping the scene the same. Look at dropped frames and playback clarity rather than assuming a larger bitrate always solves stutter.

Check the result

Use OBS statistics during the trial to distinguish rendering lag from encoding lag and network loss. Those failures have different causes, so changing several settings at once obscures which change helped.

Try a comparison

Change one setting per trial and keep a brief record of the symptom. If lowering resolution fixes encoding lag but audio still distorts, those are separate issues. This prevents a successful video adjustment from hiding an unresolved sound problem.
