General
Vootkit's tools are provided for general use. They apply a stated method to the input you give them. We work hard to make them correct and they are covered by an automated test suite, but no tool is a substitute for checking a result that matters.
Financial calculators
The loan, mortgage, refinance, auto loan, affordability, credit-card, investment, savings, paycheck and currency tools perform a calculation. They do not give financial advice. Vootkit is not a lender, broker, tax adviser or financial adviser.
- Results are estimates based only on the figures you enter.
- They exclude fees, insurance, local taxes and lender-specific rules unless you enter those yourself.
- Thresholds such as a 36% debt-to-income ratio are common lender conventions, not targets or recommendations.
- The paycheck tool does not know any country's tax rules — it applies the rate you supply.
- Currency rates are indicative and are not dealing rates.
Before borrowing, refinancing or investing, speak to a qualified professional who can see your full circumstances.
Health calculators
The BMI and related tools are not medical advice and cannot diagnose anything. BMI in particular is a population statistic that misclassifies muscular and older bodies, uses thresholds that differ by ancestry, and needs percentile charts rather than a single number for children. Talk to a clinician about your own health.
File processing
Most tools run entirely in your browser. Keep your own copy of anything important before converting, compressing or editing it — a browser tab can be closed, refreshed or run out of memory, and we cannot recover a file we never received.
External services
A small number of tools call an external service for live data, and those are labelled on the tool itself. We do not control the accuracy or availability of third-party data.
