The short version
Vootkit uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. None of them touch your files. Compatible local file tools process on your device. Tools requiring an online service explain their network use. Advertising does not receive your raw files from Vootkit.
On eligible pages, Google’s published consent message provides advertising choices where applicable. Optional storage starts denied; the old Vootkit banner does not override Google’s vendor-consent choices. Use the privacy settings control when available to revisit your choice.
Strictly necessary
These support preferences, local tool history, task allowances and account sessions. Account session storage identifies your signed-in session.

Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools are used. It records the page, your approximate country, your device type and how you arrived. It never receives your file names, file contents, or anything you type into a tool.
Analytics storage is denied by default until an applicable consent choice permits it. Google’s Consent Mode integration interprets the published message’s choices.
Advertising
Some pages carry ads from Google AdSense, which may set cookies to measure and personalise them. Advertising storage, user-data and personalisation signals start denied. Google’s message gathers applicable choices for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Declining does not guarantee an ad will be displayed; availability and ad type depend on Google’s policies.
Ads are never shown on account or sign-in pages, and never inside a tool while it is working.
